Description
This fluorescent leak detection powder is designed to help pinpoint the source of leaks in seams of bags as well as pleats in cartridges in all dust collection systems. Simply introduce the fine (3 micron) powder into the dirty air inlet and inspect the clean side area with the black ultra-violet light to locate tears or leaks. It is nonhazardous and nontoxic with a decomposition point of 660° F / 350° C, allowing it to withstand high temperature applications without melting.
Useful Tips:
- We recommend using one pound (1 lb) of Leak Detection Powder for 1000 square feet of filter cloth. For metric calculations, please use 0.5 kg of Leak Detection Powder, per 100 m2 of filter cloth.
- After injection of the powder, the fan should be run for at least 45 seconds, but no longer than one minute.
